William F. Waggoner DDS., MS.
Dr. William F. Waggoner DDS., MS. – Dr. Waggoner is the founder, and owner of Pediatric Dental Care Associates of Las Vegas, and Kids Dental Safari. He has been a pediatric dentist for nearly 35 years. He now practices part-time at the Summerlin location, to give him more time to pursue teaching and speaking opportunities.
Dr. Waggoner has been in practice in Las Vegas since 1996. He graduated from the West Virginia University College of Dentistry in 1980 and completed his Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Iowa in 1982. From 1982-1986, Dr. Waggoner held a full-time academic appointment at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. From 1986-1995, he was Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry and Director of the Children’s Dental Clinic at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Waggoner has numerous research publications in peer-reviewed dental journals and is the author of a chapter in a popular pediatric dental textbook. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American College of Dentists. Dr. Waggoner is a frequent seminar speaker on the subject of dentistry for children, and he has given dental presentations in over 30 states and 12 countries. He is a founding director of the Institute of Pediatric Dentistry, an educational entity that helps train and equip new general and pediatric dentists in treating children more effectively. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Nevada Dental Association, and is a past president of the Nevada Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Waggoner has been married for over 38 years to his wife, Linda Ann, a Marriage and Family Therapist. They have four children, Dr. Tesha Waggoner, a dentist currently in pediatric specialty training: Luke, a 3rd year Medical student, Grant, a Marriage and Family Therapist; and Clark, a technician for Apple. His spare time is devoted to visiting his family, reading and travelling.
He feels blessed to have recruited so many fine pediatric dentists and staff to work with, and to have the opportunity to serve the children of Las Vegas for so many years.
Leila Zokaei DDS
Dr. Leila Zokaei received her dental degree with honors from the University of California San Francisco, and graduated at the top of her class. She also completed her residency training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland. As part of her academic training, she co-wrote the most recent Guidelines on Restorative Dentistry for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, based on an extensive evidence-based review of the dental literature. Her residency training comprised all aspects of pediatric dentistry, including behavior modification, nitrous oxide anxiolytics, conscious and IV sedation, hospital dentistry, early interceptive orthodontic treatment, trauma management, and treatment of special needs patients. She is a board certified pediatric dentist with Diplomate status from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Zokaei is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog “Benji”, playing tennis and skiing.
Laura – Front Office
I was born in California, and moved Las Vegas in 1989. I have been in the dental field over 10 years. Love working with children, I have three of my own. I enjoy going to the movies, hiking, bike riding and all the fun stuff kids like doing. We own a dog, fish pet and a horse in Spain.
Jessica – Front Office
Jessica was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She moved to beautiful Las Vegas, in 2006 where she started her dental career in the dental insurance billing. Jessica started with Kids’ Dental Safari in 2016, where she would like to work for the rest of her life because she enjoys working with children. Jessica is married with 3 wonderful children.
Cristal – Front Office
I was born and raised in California, and moved to Las Vegas in 2010 to start my career as a front office receptionist. I started working at Kids’ Dental Safari in July of 2017. I love to welcome all my patients with a warm smile. I enjoy vacations with my family, friends, and of course my three amazing little boys, who motivate me every day to work hard.
Indira – Dental Assistant
I’ve been a dental assistant since June 2015. I enjoy working in a pediatric office because I love working with children and contributing to their oral care. I have one son and in my spare time I enjoy listening to music, traveling and living my life with joy
Ariana – Dental Assistant
I have always loved working with kids to where I am going back to school spring of 2019. I hope to become a world history teacher. Outside of work, I enjoy playing music and aspire to play for the Las Vegas Philharmonic as a bass or cello player. I am still young for kids but have an adorable 2-year-old brother that I consider my world. Currently, love my job at Kids’ Dental Safari working with new patients. I enjoy seeing kids lose all their fears about coming to the dentist and actually have a fun time.
Evelin – Dental Assistant
My name is Evelin, and I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I started my career as a dental assistant in 2010 where I discovered how much I love working with children. I started working at Kids’ Dental Safari in January of 2018. I have been happily married for four years and in the past year, I was blessed with a wonderful baby boy. I love spending time with my family camping at Lee Canyon and hope to travel more in the near future.
Kimberly – Dental Assistant
I have been a dental assistant for 5 years and love working in the pediatric field. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Las Vegas 3 years ago. I started working for Kids’ Dental Safari in 2017 as a chairside assistant. I fell in love with my high school sweetheart and we have been happily married with a beautiful 6-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old baby boy. When we are able as a family, we love taking small family vacations to Mexico and spending time on the beach.
